Redding California Homeless and KRCR TV News "Sinclair Sam"

Redding Homeless West Side Under Cypress Street Bridge

Well come one come all!

It looks like homeless are now allowed to camp under the Redding California Cypress Street bridge and will not be removed for illegal camping, according to this KRCR TV News story by a reporter who we affectionately call Sinclare Sam.

The title of your news story Sam, "We're not going to stop," Redding police determined to help homeless under Cypress Bridge" might have better be stated "Touch the homeless during a declared homeless shelter crisis and advocates will sue you shitless.

Let's get it right...

Redding Homeless West Side Under Cypress Street Bridge

Now Sam's story we heard scratched the surface and was the usual narrative one-sided political subdivision of the City of Redding news story we have heard like this for years, and homeless have been dying on our streets from local news media indifference for years as well.

What makes this KRCR TV News story so paper thin is the unasked questions...

If there is so much room at the Good News Rescue Mission as you reported, then why did the city of Redding declare a "homeless shelter crisis" receiving millions of dollars in homeless aid?

Where is the millions for homeless Shasta County received? including your father Shasta County District 1 Supervisor Joe Chimenti who is in favor of a homeless "jail"?

What about the other side, the east end of Cypress Street Bridge Sam and the homeless camp secretly sanctioned by City of Redding where young mother Brook Leann Blair was staying shot by police?

Why do these homeless folks prefer to sleep on painful river rocks on the Sacramento riverbed in freezing cold and howling winds than stay at the so called only "resource" the news and the Redding Police CIRT team offers aka The Good News Rescue Mission?

Is it the Violence? Drug dealing?  Nobody wears Covid masks?  Staff and volunteers stealing donations?

Is it the stench of dirty clothes, feet and other horrendous body odor?

Is it because homeless youth have been molested there? Including two foster boys who stayed there later adopted by a local Catholic family? Is it the nasty men sleeping 2 feet away from your bed bunk masturbating?

Good News Rescue Mission

Is it the Covid virus that ravaged the guests and staff killing Pastor Honey and Director of guest services just to name a few?

Is it the bedbugs, Staph and MRSA outbreaks? Crabs and scabies infestations? Lice, The thievery? Overdose deaths?

Bob Brannon, Redding Police Community Service officer

I once asked Bob Brannon, Redding Police Community Service officer who dealt directly with homeless and their camps for years a question.

I said Bob, it's just you and me here, if you and your family had nowhere to go would you stay at the Good News Rescue Mission?

He responded with a resounding "no".

So why would KRCR TV Sinclair Sam, Redding police CIRT Team, or any other KRCR TV News reporter suggest homeless stay at the Good News Rescue Mission?
