Shasta County California employees allowed this to happen. They have NO MORAL HIGH ROAD  To take when it comes to Redding and Shasta County homeless. The Shasta County Continuum of Care ALSO ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN ! WORTHLESS

PLUS In My Opinion Our local ACLU is spineless and worthless when year after year homeless civil and constitutional rights are violated, including veterans.

Look At City of Chico and Their Homeless issues..... Sued...... Falling All Over Themselves To Comply With Judges Orders.

I never thought I would say this but maybe Vlad Davidson is right ....homeless services here are a joke including in my opinion the Good News Rescue Mission.

Although a powerhouse in Chico there really has been no group that has left me hanging over the years as far as local civil and constitutional homeless issues than Legal Services of Northern California here in Redding. 

THE ONLY WAY REDDING AND SHASTA COUNTY RESIDENTS WILL HAVE RELIEF FROM HOMELESS ISSUES IS TO SUE THEM INTO TOMORROW

Just like Chico California homeless advocates and activists. 

Why Were Questions For Redding Shasta County News Reporter Removed From anewscafe. com ?

 If your going to do a fair and balanced story on Patrick Jones one would
think you would ask him for an interview.

"Im curious RV Scheide, news reporter for anewscafe.com, when somebody is elected to county supervisor or city council do they sign papers saying they cannot discuss the embarrassing items brought up in closed door sessions?

How did Past Redding city council member Rick Bosetti get his own baseball park, concessions, a million dollar upgrade gift AND have the entire South City park fenced and locked to immediate public use?

Indeed unions were quite angry at Mr Jones, none more so than Redding Police when they were denied raises.

You should befriend Mr Jones RV, im sure he would be a far more interesting interview than Mr Zapata to be sure.

Perhaps he can tell you about the time several fellows were in a hanger at Benton Airpark when one of them, an RPD Officer said ” “If I could get away with killing Patrick Jones I would do it”

One of the other fellows hearing this reported it to the FBI, who then told Mr Jones about the very real threat by local law enforcement being investigated…

Time when Red Bluff police chief was ousted by a vote of no confidence and City of Redding police union said they would do the same to ex police chief Paoletti if he forced them to wear body cams.

Apparently Redding Police beat the shit out of a relative of Redding city council woman Missy McArthur, who was leading the charge for Paoletti to have his department wear body cams.

Another wonderful question for Mr Patrick Jones since he has so much inside information RV is to ask him if this was a case of police brutality plain and simple since he probably saw the full video of his beating and death taken by the owner of the back yard where Steven Motley was killed by 6 Redding police officers.

Working Together - Homeless Senior Citizen Saved by City of Redding - Shasta County Supervisors

 

It is known that homeless folks who sleep right next to busy lighted roads usually are afraid, fearful that they will be attacked. And of course they hold out on the hope that if they are attacked someone passing by will see and have the compassion to come to their aid. Often times senior citizens and the disabled will tell you juvenile homeless will beat and rob them of anything of value.

A homeless man named Marcus, who slept on the sidewalk and bus stop on Cypress Ave. taught me this, having had first hand experience.

You may remember Marcus, one of my first photos of him dropped off at the same place he was picked up, with a hospital discharge bag tied to his chair.....minus his ankles and feet.

Now another poor soul who has spent years suffering in that same parking lot, bus stop with Marcus is quite possibly taking the same path as Marcus, literally walking in the same Valley of the Shadow of Death.

Where will this suffering soul recover after his initial hospital care? The Safeway parking lot? Bus stop?

Happily I can report after several calls and e mails Hill Country Care Crisis van responded, did a fantastic assessment and immediately called an ambulance.

City of Redding councilors and city staff as well as Shasta County supervisors Joe Chimenti, Leonard Moty, and Mary Rickert quickly answered e mails of concern and quickly set the ball in motion to compassionately seek out shelter options while he recovers from his hospital stay. 

I also cannot thank enough Trista Bauman, lead civil rights attorney for the National Homeless Law Center in Washington DC for her keen interest in this mans well being.  

As Shasta County Health and Human services is actively working out his shelter options, I cannot agree with the Red White and Blueprint and/or Recall folks who seem to want to do away with the counties Health and Human services division.

I certainly believe we should Reject the Recall, especially during this time of even greater need.

And we  thank our 3 county supervisors, city councilor's, those who prayed and others who called this in to proper authorities.

And those in power that continue to watch out for the communities safety.
