Redding Homeless Suffering Horribly This Holiday Season

PLEASE HELP! This Christmas, more than ever, are homeless suffering from freezing cold and raids from Redding California Police. Moved from place to place, THEY NEED YOUR HELP! Share this Blog post EVERYWHERE!

Under Cypress Street Bridge on the west side is a large homeless camp. It is one of the few places left for homeless to take refuge from the rain and wind and it is growing daily!

PLEASE consider a drop off donation of tarps, tents, blankets and sleeping bags if you can. Jackets, gloves and warm socks as well. For safety flashlights, batteries, lanterns. And of course, hot drinks and food would be greatly appreciated, I'm sure.

Here is an interview link of this camp KRCR News Channel 7 produced.

It is also my hope Bethel Church and School, as well as any other Shasta County Christian organizations or others get involved as well.

What will Redding City Council heavy with Bethel Church members and supposed Christians do? Have you seen all the homeless suffering under the Cypress Street Bridge?  The City of Redding has allowed them to sleep and stay there For months.

Will City of Redding City Council continue to let them take shelter from the cold and rain there? Or will we now see what the true intentions of Bethel Church, School, And Ministry really are.

They are now as Redding City Council members, representing Jesus Christ in the Community, and MANY MANY Non-Believers are Watching as to just Exactly WHO do you Follow? Will you continue to send out Bethel Church students to destroy known homeless camp survival areas?

Whose Spirit Do You Really Follow?

Does Redding California City Council Care About Its Homeless Children?

Walking in their shoes, to be crushed by a garbage truck sleeping in a downtown alley or a Semi truck sleeping in your tent, one cannot think of many more gruesome ways to die.

Of course, many are slowly dying inside as they waist away homeless on Redding California's cruel streets, a palpable indifference from that Redding City Council, and Shasta County Supervisors who should care, yet for years have turned their collective backs in cold indifference.

Since the City of Redding continues to allow homeless to camp within 2 feet from road up and down State St & Favretto Ave next to a dark Semi Truck trailer transfer lot, I propose at least some modicum of safety by simply placing bright safety cones and safety barriers at strategic spots on these horrible dark streets that our homeless population seeks refuge.

Two feet from same road Lori was crushed except much darker here across street semi-trailer transfer block after accident

Quite frankly, the City of Redding would do well to open the unused South City Park during the night, or some other suitable nighttime refuge area.

By the Redding City Council and its Shasta County Supervisors simply turning their collective backs to an obvious safety issue as its sole reaction to the tragedy
that occurred there is simply unacceptable, and surly the blood of the next man, woman, or child brutally and horrifically squashed out of them will spiritually be on your hands. If you agree please share this blog on your social media AND let them know how you feel...

Ex Securitas Guard Opinion - Redding Shasta County officials guilty of aiding and abetting Fentanyl, Meth, Heroin addiction and the dealers that provide it

Shasta County Breslauer Way Needle Exchange

I must admit, at almost two decades of homeless advocacy, I am absolutely stunned as a past outside on-site Securitas security guard at the vicious circle of poverty pimps in my opinion that make up the Shasta County public health branch needle exchange and welfare office.

Addicts with festering sores, Stapf infections and angry red injection sites come from all over the neighborhood as well as homeless from surrounding bush camps to exchange dirty Meth, Fentanyl and Heroin syringes a stone's throw from Sheriff Michael Johnsons Breslauer way offices! You share the same parking lot!

Shasta County Sheriff Michael Johnson

I sat outside as a guard and witnessed many homeless from the area come to use what I consider to be a program that makes Shasta County officials guilty of aiding and abetting drug addiction and the dealers that provide it.

You see after my shift at the needle exchange around 4 pm I would I cross the canal at Shasta County Breslauer welfare office where I witnessed several of the same people nervous, angry and jittery now incoherent, chewing on a cracker dribbling out of their mouth, or finding them in the bathroom passed out, blood on the floor.

Shasta County Health and Human Services Welfare

All of them carrying the little white bags just given to them at the needle exchange a few hours ago to inject their poison, demanding they receive their benefits.

Unfortunately, back to the bushes they go, the homeless addicted, to repeat this circle of hell once again.

And those in that neighborhood must suffer the loss of any items of value that are stolen to also feed this horrific cycle fed by Shasta County workers and supervisors.

Will Shasta County California expand this program with more county workers, (In my opinion poverty pimps) to include more taxpayers money for a safe injection site?

If not, will they let others do so? Maybe local nonprofits?

Maybe the Good News Rescue Mission?

Will there be lava lamps? bean bag chairs?

How about provide beds like a modern-day Chinese opium den?

A Shasta County sanctioned heroin shooting gallery?

Satan laughs, the dope dealers rejoice....

All of this diabolical hell on earth right under the noses of Shasta County Supervisor chair Les Baugh...?

A local Christian pastor?

Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Redding Shasta County Welfare Workers Tell Disabled Security Guard NOT To Investigate Alleged Downtown Rapist

Shasta County Health and Human Services

I worked as a security guard at 1220 Sacramento Street in the downtown Redding Shasta County welfare office. I had a problem with who I should turn in my incident reports into as in my opinion a rather troubled client named "Donny," (not real name) had been swinging a cane dangerously close to my security guard partner.  Several days later this individual Donny was outside yelling and flipping the bird at somebody out in the parking lot. I later saw the fellow Donny was fighting with and individual said Donny "has raped several women in Redding."

Next day this same individual was in office when Donny came in and started yelling "this guy is accusing me of rape" which supervisor "Sammy Jo" did an incident report. I told supervisor Athena about the Donny incidents and have been told by "Supervisor Athena" with Supervisor Fawn in Fawns office that "I was to quit investigating Donny" and the City of Redding wants them to relocate due to the people they attract, and the number of police calls they generate.

3 guards I know of alone were told NOT to call the police... and I believe my incident reports on Donny have been "misplaced" by welfare staff...

Another security guard that works there said he goes out with them at night socially, (Welfare workers) and has told them the same thing about City of Redding wanting them to relocate.

For the sake of the safety of the county workers I am guarding any allegations of rape that occur in the parking lot I am guarding and inside the welfare office on my watch certainly WILL be investigated.

Another security guard there and I were taken into the office and their expectations were made known to us by supervisors "Sammy Jo" and Maureen.  They told us that if there were any incidents, we were to call them on little two-way radios and not emergency police, or EMS and they would respond. I said to these supervisors are they telling me I have to call them if I am assaulted and not the police?

Supervisor Maureen replied, "Well two heads are better than one."

She then gave me a slip of paper with 2 phone numbers should I have a problem

In an effort to appease the pressure allegedly applied by the City of Redding and reduce emergency dispatches to the facility it is shocking to me that officer safety, especially a disabled officer, is being undermined, especially in an area where severe mental health and addictions are so prevalent, some of these folks are violent.

Should I be punished for such conduct by Shasta County Welfare staff?

I certainly would like and believe that I am not banned as they now say from all Shasta County sites my security guard company serves and need an attorney to guide me through this strange episode of the real-life Twilight Zone.

Saint James Lutheran Church - They Will Know We Are Christians By Our Love

Demonstration Micro Shelter

It was my absolute pleasure to attend Saint James Lutheran's open house, showcasing the plans for a tiny homeless shelter community.

On the property behind their church, featured was one of the tiny homes already built that will accommodate 2 homeless individuals should the church board vote to go forward with this beautiful, long overdue, positive first step in alleviating homelessness in the city of Redding and Shasta County.

Saint James Lutheran has boldly and bravely accepted the challenge to be one of the first to demonstrate the Love of Jesus Christ and provide for the needs of the "least of the brethren."

Other churches and the City of Redding are soon to follow, with hopes of building other micro shelter communities in and around Redding.

With layers of supervision and accountability, it will certainly be a situation of a hand up, and not a handout. Providing homeless with the "first step of a ladder" to climbing out of the dreadful situation of being homeless.

And why not, the Holy Bible from one end to the other speaks of Gods desire that we should help the poor, and the rewards of that will reverberate through the city with the Blessings of God.

Oh, there were the naysayers, the NIMBY folks and immediate neighbors were quite unhappy and let their thoughts be known. And strangely enough even several folks from next stores Our Lady of Mercy Catholic church came by and voiced their concerns. Strangely still, the church secretary was concerned that these folks would come next store and consume all their donations from their food giveaways.

Of course, when Jesus Christ was freely giving of the loaves and fishes homelessness was not a barrier for their physical and spiritual needs, nor should it be for the church next store...

After all, we serve the same Jesus Christ, ... Don't we?

"Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation"

The Journey Church - Showing Jesus Christ's Love To Our Homeless Community

Preach the Gospel at all times and if necessary, use words

You would be hard pressed to find a better example of this saying witnessing the Journey church in action going about our community

Showing, through action, the Love of Jesus Christ giving to the homeless the means to survive spiritually and physically on our streets.

Every third Saturday you can find their team compassionately giving out food, water, clothing, even dog food to those who have so very little.

Sixty food boxes, as well as forty sack lunches were given out on one Saturday alone.

And of course prayer was offered to those who spiritually feel that they need it for whatever reason.

They also offer food at their Church to those in poverty and meet their hunger needs.

It was an absolute pleasure to go out with them into the homeless community and meet them where they are.

The Team goes to the Cypress Street bridge, Library, and Masonic lodge area every third Saturday and I can tell you the homeless are very appreciative.

Unfortunately, talking to some of them, an added stress to being homeless is the Redding police constantly threatening to raid and disband their camps.

With nowhere to go, often they are driven to the outskirts of town where no homeless services are found for miles.

If you are interested in donating, volunteering, or attending this Holy Spirit filled church and ministry, you can find their Facebook page here

Redding California Refuses to Open a Warming Shelter for Her Least Fortunate

With Christmas just days gone by, you would thing Redding and Shasta County Supervisors would have more compassion for the homeless in our community. The Good News Rescue Mission, 3100 South Market Street, the only nighttime shelter we have is reportedly kicking out homeless seeking shelter for the most nominal of offenses. Several can be seen sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the mission.

Redding Homeless - Good News Rescue Mission

Those with mental issues, are forced to sleep outside, even though the temperatures have been below freezing for several days now, including homeless children. Dozens of homeless are forced to seek shelter under the roof of a very compassionate local business but really is that fair to them?

A young little girl in a pink jacket is living in a freezing boulder field under Cypress Street with dozens of other homeless sufferings, yet even though the City of Redding has declared a Homeless Shelter Crisis, and received a million dollars, the refuse to put a large tent next to those languishing under this and other bridges seeking the only shelter they can find.

Why it's perfectly natural that folks don't want to go to the Good News Rescue Mission. I know of several instances where homeless young boys have been molested there. Other reports of men masturbating. bed bugs, scabies, and other unpleasant behaviors seem to be the norm, not to mention thievery. Young boys at a certain age I understand are separated from their families and forced to stay with them.

And of course the 30 days in 30 days out mission policy is tragic, since most folks point to the mission as the be all as far as homelessness is concerned in Shasta County... The only game in town.

Some time ago, I had a conversation with my next door neighbor, Deputy Sheriff Will Gardner ( at one time sex crime investigator), that I was concerned that a homeless child could be molested, and the pedophile could attend the Good News Rescue Mission's drug and alcohol program as part of his sentence, eating the finest donations of deli meats and cheeses, sitting on fine plump leather couches in air-conditioned comfort, while that homeless child is still in the bushes curled around a rock still homeless.
Deputy Sheriff Will Gardner stated " You dont have to worry about that scenario any longer.... Its already happened...

Fascinating that the City of Redding has also received as I understand 18 million dollars in Covid relief funds, that can certainly be used to give our least fortunate some kind of relief, is used to hire 3 more City of Redding employees and machinery to destroy homeless survival areas.

Just before Christmas.... And Bethel Church played a major role ...

What more must the homeless endure with two murdered by young men with no motive at all?

And vigilantism on the rise   ?

And an attitude by Redding and Shasta County Officials that being homeless is still a crime

Seems nobody wears masks at the Good News Rescue Mission, sadly several of the Mission staff have died from Covid 19
