Redding Justice For Leo Coleman Facebook Group

"The mutilated body of 31 year-old Leo Coleman, Jr. of Redding,
California was found hanging from a tree in the nearby town of Anderson by two teenage boys November 24, 1997.

Police reports document that Officer Ochoa received three separate ' reports from three different people on November 24, that Leo Coleman, Jr. was the victim of hanging by adherents of so-called "white pride" elements in the local community. On the day after Leo, Jr.'s death was reported, someone made a drawing of a hanging man and put it on Bobbi Culver, Leo, Jr.''s girlfriend's, front door.

There is a tremendous push to stop drawing attention to this gruesome murder and those that are trying to reopen this cold case that never got the investigative attention it deserved.

Miracles can happen, cases like this after all these years can be solved. There is NO statute of limitations when in comes to what so many believe now is MURDER !·

This group is dedicated to shining the light on the murder / torture / mutilation / hanging of this young black man with the intent of reopening this brutal unsolved Shasta County case and bringing justice to Leo Coleman.

Just reading this now. I have questions. When I lived in Redding and some other towns up North, in the Shasta-Trinity County areas, it was between the 70's and 80's, and rents were so cheap then, and money went a lot further, even if you didn't have much. Reading about how Julie Winter, a Bethel Church elder,as well as mayor, really angered me !! That place has never had much in good paying jobs and has always been depressed economically. Why has there been no appeals to the State to build affordable housing for everyone up there yet ? I'm amazed to hear that all the City Council and Police Chiefs of both Redding and Anderson want to do is use State money to lock up homeless people, of many are working poor and also senior citizens. From what I read, Bethel is ruthless towards the homeless, buses them out of the area, opposed housing for them. The man who was found hanged, had he been given housing, most likely he'd be living today. Something has happened to our money that it's lost buying power, and after 40 years of hardcore conservatism, in housing policy certainly, we have such a high rate of homeless people for a modern supposedly First World country. This should scare everyone. It's like an uncontrollable hemorrhage ! There were NO homeless in Los Angeles when I was growing up ! There were draft dodgers, runaways, but no " homeless" like we have now. And plenty of rentals, as well as easy rent-to- own terms you don't see now. We need to get back to those post-WW2 policies that lifted most boats, or America is toast. We have no right to tell other countries what to do until we fix our own nation.
