It's not your fault , you did more than enough , the state of California did not do enough to ensure, and enforce red cities and towns within its deep blue state was in compliance with state laws and federal laws . Gavin Newsome could do more , but chooses not to .the Department of Justice could do more but chooses not to , the FBI could do more but chooses not to , this is what happens when the government fails it's citizens

enough isn’t being done at all, especially for those who have just been released out of prison into a city that they’ve never lived in, what’s worse is that a majority of the people that are homeless are suffering from mental health, illnesses and enough isn’t being done to help with that either.

take for example, Michael Todd Merryman, he was never properly diagnosed or treated out and about, but when he was incarcerated, he was properly diagnosed, and it was treated, as his release date was coming, they weaned him off of the lithium that he was taking, which actually helped with his mental health illnesses and was switched over to a medication that he would later Tell me didn’t seem to be working.

his mental health illnesses went unchecked. He was not getting the proper treatment, and when his mental health started to suffer, he relapsed and got kicked out of the recovery program. He was in and we became homeless, and he tried to look for a shelter that would help him he even tried to get into a recovery program, but the only bad that they had to offer was available in about three weeks.

during his first arrest, when his parole officer visited him, Michael was trying to plead with his parole officer to listen to him, and to get him the help that he needed because he was reaching the point where he was starting to lose himself and all grip of reality.

what happened to Michael Todd? Merryman is an example of what happens when the system fails you when the healthcare system fails you and when there aren’t enough resources available to you to help get you the right treatment for your mental health illnesses.

all I keep hearing is that we have the Money we have the resources if that is all true then why is it so damn hard for people like him who were just trying to get help.
